Our Policies

Land Acknowledgment

Empower Futbol acknowledges that our programs and facilities are located on the traditional and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, part of the Anishinaabek Nation. This land is also part of the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, the Attawandaron (Neutral), and the Huron-Wendat peoples.

We recognize the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge, histories, and contributions of all Indigenous peoples across Turtle Island.

As a community rooted in sport, mentorship, and youth development, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects on our responsibilities to truth and reconciliation. We acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonialism and affirm our dedication to learning from Indigenous voices and building meaningful relationships rooted in respect, reciprocity, and accountability.
