With over 10 years of coaching experience, several licenses, and many soccer connections, Coach Chelsea believes in building a welcoming, positive, and competitive community for players to grow and develop.

Ontario Soccer Technical Advisory Committee Member

January 2021- Present

  • The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is an Operational Committee of Ontario Soccer. The Committee is responsible in assisting the Director of Soccer Operations by providing counsel related to the technical program operations related to player and coach development at both the grassroots and high performance levels of Soccer and Futsal in Ontario.

Ontario Soccer Diversity Sub-Committee Member

September 2020 - Present

  • Review Ontario Soccer Articles, Bylaws, Policies and Operational Procedures and recommend amendments to the Board of Directors in the areas of diversity and inclusion.

  • Recommend best practices or new strategic initiatives for Ontario Soccer and its membership to ensure the effects of systemic barriers are eliminated.

  • Support the Nominations Committee in their respective recruitment processes to achieve suitable representation of designated and underrepresented groups for the Ontario Soccer Board of Directors.

  • Provide recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer on the removal of any barriers in employment, through established practices in recruitment, hiring and training and will encourage promotional practices that will foster a climate of equity.

  • Research funding opportunities (grants) to support projects and promotional activities.

Empowerment Workshop Facilitator (Oakville Soccer Club)

April 2018 - Present

  • Conducting a series of Female Empowerment Workshops for the Advanced Development Program Girls U11 & U12 age groups

  • The workshops comprised of various activities (both written and verbal), with the goal of strengthening the love
    that each participant has within them, with the intention of building self-confidence, and to embrace who they are as athletes as well as girls

  • Creating and executing original curriculum including booklets, visuals, and mindful activities

Technical Staff Lead Coach (Oakville Soccer Club)

December 2017 - May 2020

  • Leading the "Ultimate House League" 14-week summer program

  • Supporting the Head Coach with set up and execution of training sessions

  • Responsible for supporting the Advanced Development Program for both Girls and boys U8 to U10

  • Mentoring parent volunteer coaches

Mentor for the "Changing the Game - Changing the Conversation" Program (Coaches Association of Ontario)
June 2017 - Present

  • Part of the Ontario Government's Ontario 150 Program

  • One of 90 coaches selected in all of Ontario to mentor 250 Female Apprentice Coaches who aspire to make a more significant commitment to coaching, or who have just began their coaching career

  • Featured on CBC Radio's 'Metro Morning' segment on behalf of the CAO

  • Guest speaker at the 2018 'Changing the Game - Changing the Conversation' Gala (over 100 guests, including, but not limited to the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario)


1999 Girls Program Head Coach (Oakville Soccer Club)
April 2015 - September 2016

  • Creating stimulating fitness programs for elite athletes

  • Overseeing a program containing 60 female soccer players

  • Preparing motivational and educational presentations to help create a positive learning environment for players

  • Communicating constructive criticism in a professional manner to both players and to their parents
